Playbark Safer SurfacesPlaybark Safer Surfaces

Play bark is a form of 'loose fill' safety surface, often seen around park and play equipment. Bark chippings are spread around play equipment to a depth of around 30cm (for fall heights above 1000mm), providing a cushioned safe surface.

It is often used on play areas within woodland/green surroundings, as being woodchip it looks natural.

Play grade bark or woodchip must be maintained through regular cleaning and raking, so that it maintains its impact attenuating properties. From time to time, the bark may need to be 'topped-up' to maintain consitent depths required to comply with European Standards.

Our playbark is treated and checked to remove dust and larger larger particles from the mix, ensuring the highest level of safety is achieved.

It is relatively cheap to install, and only requires something to retain the material, such as log retaining walls, or within an excavated pit.
