'Rubber mulch' is a new flooring material, and an alternative to play area bark and wet pour for playgrounds. The rubber mulch consists of shredded solid rubber, free from metals and fibres and coloured with organic pigment.

As the rubber is synthetic, there is no need to allow for compaction or rotting, which can sometimes be associated with organic playbark materials. It is therefore virtually maintenance free, and will not wash or float away.

The rubber is also comfortable underfoot, and provides a safe surface cover, which has been drop tested to BSEN1177 standards for playground use. Our rubber mulch is non flammable, and also has a toy safe classification.

Rubber mulch can be supplied in two varieties, dependent on your individual requirements:

1 - Loose Fill
2 - Softbond

Loose fill rubber mulch is similar to playbark. No formal ground preparation is required as it can usually be laid over most existing surfaces including soil, concrete or old bark if necessary.
The loosefill rubber mulch is installed by pouring the material into your retained area.

- Retains no moisture and does not stay wet
- Does not attract pets and wildlife mess
- Does not blow around or easily scatter
- Effectively maintenance free so cheaper to own
- Will not float or wash away

Playground SoftbondPlayground Softbond

Softbond rubber mulch is of the same quality rubber mulch, but combined together with a binder; mixed on site and levelled out on the play surface. Softbond can provide a more attractive and cheaper option to traditional granulate wet pour.
