Safety Surfacing
A safer surface should always be considered when initially planning your project. We always strongly advise any customer considering any play equipment installation to have a safer surface installed.
A safer surface is also mandatory where the equipment has fall height of over 1000 millimetres, or if installed onto any other surface other than well-maintained turf at any height. It is not permissible even to put low-level equipment on tarmac or concrete.
As part of our service, we are able to advise where a safer surface really should be included, the most suitable type for your individual application, and the exact amount of falling space required around the equipment. Below you can view the three types of safety flooring available, with details and images.
The criteria used to determine the type and thickness of the surface is based upon a number of factors, further explained here.
Please contact us for more information from our experts who can help advise on the suitability of each type for your project.
