Our reputation is built on a foundation of ecologically-friendly values and quality, two attributes we feel are essential to any self-construction service. As such, all our buildings exceed the latest Building Regulations for Eco Classrooms.

Which classroom is right for you?

In order to ensure our eco-friendly classrooms are habitable and comfortable all year round, we construct each one using heavy duty structural grade timber, structurally insulated panels (SIPS), the highest quality exterior cladding and double glazing. This is relevant to all classrooms regardless of bespoke or modular planning.

As a company Bridge Timber is fully committed to protecting the environment. We only use timber which is independently certified, which ensure it is obtained from responsibly managed and sustainable forests. All our classrooms have undergone a comprehensive energy and thermal assessment to maximise energy efficiency and thermal insulation, and minimise any impact on the environment.

Our design service is totally bespoke, with each classroom designed to suit your own personal requirements and ideas. As standard, each classroom comes fully installed with all lighting, power sockets and heating as well as plasterboarded walls, skimmed and painted to your desired colour. The number, type and position of doors and windows are all planned and constructed to suit your specific requirements.

Our design team will be happy to discuss any further requirements you may have – this may include the fitting of internal partitions, external canopies, timber decking, suspended ceilings or the installation of a WC or shower. Staff and pupils at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Elland are excited to begin the new academic year with a wonderful new sustainable timber-framed outdoor classroom, supplied and built by Bridge Timber. Last year we approached Bridge Timber, who we had worked with previously on a successful outdoor play area for our Early Years Unit, with an enquiry for a new outdoor classroom to further enhance our learning environment for all our pupils and provide a designated base for our Out of School Club. Paul and his staff listened carefully to our needs and quickly drew up plans for a bespoke building which met all our requirements, educationally, aesthetically and financially, working closely with us to successfully match our long list of requirements with our available budget. They were flexible and patient in their approach, building positive relationships with our staff and governors, answering our seemingly endless questions, and adapting the design frequently until we were 100% satisfied with the final construction. Their modern standalone classroom structures were the perfect match to our developing learning needs and providing us with a fantastic environment for our children to learn in. The work was carried out according to our tight time frame of school holiday dates, with Paul and his staff checking on the whole building process as it went along. We now have a bright and airy building where our children love to learn and play. In addition, the feedback from parents has been extremely positive and the school can see real value for money in the final construction. We are now saving up for the next one!

St Patricks Primary School

This summer we appointed Bridge Timber to build our new Pre School Classroom for 25 children in our growing school.

They designed a beautiful seventy square meter structure using the latest energy efficient methods and materials. Cladded in cedar wood it looks beautiful and fully in keeping within the conservation area where it is sited.

We already knew that Bridge Timber would provide a great service having worked with them two years previously when they provided us our AstroTurf playing field and built a twin climbing tower.

The project had a very tight timescale and budget. However, I am delighted to report that Bridge Timber provided a first class service and delivered ahead of time and to budget. The construction team were always courteous and professional with no change request seeming to phase them.

We are delighted with our new classroom and thoroughly recommend Bridge Timber. We would have no hesitation in using them again.
